Suggested Tadoba Itineraries

These are sample outlines to help you think about pace, not fixed products. Exact safari times, gates and permits depend on your dates and availability, and we adjust the plan to suit you. Remember that core gates are closed on Tuesdays and buffer gates on Wednesdays, according to the official portal, and check notices before you travel.

Two nights: a quick introduction

  • Day 1. Travel from Nagpur by road (roughly three to four hours to the Tadoba area), check in and rest. An afternoon safari if time allows.
  • Day 2. Morning safari, a break at the lodge, then another safari later in the day.
  • Day 3. A final morning safari if your permits allow, then the journey home.

Best for: first-time visitors with limited time. Expect three to four safaris at most.

Three nights: a balanced plan

  • Day 1. Arrive and settle in.
  • Days 2 and 3. Two safaris each day, mixing core and buffer gates and avoiding the closure days.
  • Day 4. One last safari or a slower morning before departure.

Best for: families, couples and anyone who wants rest between early starts.

Four nights or more: for photographers and birders

A longer stay lets you try more than one gate, revisit places that looked promising and spend time on birds and landscape rather than chasing a single sighting. We plan one or two rest periods so the early mornings stay enjoyable.
